Blue Point Brewery, one of Long Island’s better known and most popular microbrewers is set to tap the world’s largest cask as it hosts the 7th Annual Blue Point Cask Ale Festival on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 from 2pm – 6pm at their headquarters in Patchogue. For those unfamiliar with Cask Ale, it’s a reference to unfiltered and unpasteurized beer that is conditioned and served directly from a cask.
