When one gets invited to North Fork Table and Inn in Southold, on Long Island’s North Fork, one drops everything and makes a beeline for the restaurant (and brings a camera with them to catalogue the trip). Such was the case on a recent chilly Sunday afternoon. True to fashion, North Fork Table and Inn lived up to the hype and showed us why they have been one of the top restaurants on Long Island (28 out of 30 for food in ZAGAT) on a consistent basis.
It’s too early to really think about the late Fall and the chilly temperatures that come along with it, but we’ve got the details on this year’s Long Island Restaurant Week; a yearly week-long prix fixe bonanza thrown by Wordhampton Public Relations at some of Long Island’s top restaurants.
To start the Spring off on the right foot, the Gulf Coast Kitchen by Robin Haas at Montauk Yacht Club is throwing a weekly Spring Prix Fixe for all of you lucky diners who happen to be in the Montauk area during this time of year.
