Across the country, Seasons 52 restaurants have been operating with a focus on great seasonal portions that all sit below 475 calories. This feature alone is setting them apart from the pack as this country’s chain restaurants are inundating menus with 1,000+ calorie “healthy options”.

The newest Huntington hotspot is Vitae (pronounced VEE-TAY), located in the famous spot where Abel Conklin’s reigned for many years over the Huntington scene (in a historic building dating back to 1841). The name Vitae means life, and it is with this in mind that Vitae opens its doors to welcome in Spring and the hungry masses coming out of their winter hibernation.
As we learned from Long Island Business News today, Red Mango, the increasingly visible frozen yogurt stores popping up everywhere from NYC to Long Island is opening another store in Manhasset on Plandome Rd. (not far form the train station). The franchisee who will be opening this new outpost also has another located in the Wheatley Plaza shopping center in Greenvale.
One of our favorite non-fast food fast food joints has to be Chiptole. Known for their fresh cuisine that is cooked in front of you (there’s no bag opening here), they’ve been growing steadily over the past few years. If you’ve wanted some in western Nassau County, you’ve had to travel to either Carle Place or Uniondale, which for some can prove to be quite inconvenient. Starting December 15th that all changes. The newest location to open its’ doors is located in Great Neck at 44 Great Neck Rd.
