Occupying the space that previously held Mirage Nightclub and then most recently GLO, this new Buffalo Wild Wings is going to be massive and probably won’t disappoint, when they open on March 16th.

We were big fans when we dined at RUB BBQ in the Chelsea section of Manhattan last summer and chatted up their owner, Andrew Fischel, a Long Island native (Roslyn, to be exact). We were mostly talking about the Long Island BBQ scene and going over the various major players in both Nassau and Suffolk. Well, we’ve learned that they’re now heading out east to a new location that they can call home.

Smokin’ Al’s is named after its founder, Al Horowitz, originally from Brooklyn and now transplanted to Long Island in order to cook up and share some of the tastiest BBQ this side of Memphis. There’s no one style to this BBQ and the flavors are really a combination of the various styles of BBQ that Al has come across over the years during his travels across the country. We hit up Smokin’ Al’s in Bay Shore (there’s another, newer location in Massapequa Park as well) to take some pictures. To view our little photographic tour, click on through the jump.
