Williston Park at Three Price Points

Williston Park at Three Price Points

Williston Park on Nassau County’s north shore doesn’t have to be very expensive to fulfill your dining needs. A quaint area of the island, it harkens back to an era when times were simpler and family and food were the only two thing to worry about. If you’re looking to sample a few of their best establishments at a few different price points, look no further.

Inexpensive – Cupcake Contessas

Originally located in Huntington, Cupcake Contessas moved their way over to Nassau County not too long ago. They’re pumping out one of the biggest fads in recent times; cupcakes. Using the finest ingredients, the cupcakes are to die for. Cream cheese based frosting, delectable flavor combinations and attention to the moist details will keep you and anyone else that you choose to share them with happy.

Moderate – Memories Pub

Memories are what you will certainly take away from this pub / restaurant / karaoke lounge on Hillside. They’ve got great sandwiches and a lively food menu, but it’s the live music and local karaoke masters that will keep you coming back. With a backdrop of famous musicians hanging on the walls, inspiration comes in many forms. Hit the stage, grab a mike and let the music take you where you want to go. If you’re too timid to bare all, any of the local regulars will certainly do it for you.

Expensive – La Parma

Family style italian is one of our favorite types of cuisine and La Parma on Willis Avenue always delivers the goods. One of five location on Long Island, this Williston Park setting is their original, open since 1984. Since it’s family style, you can expect larger portions that are better for sharing. It may end up cheaper in the long-run since you’re splitting it a few ways, but if you’re with a small group and order a few dishes it can get a little pricy. Our picks are the chicken parm, baked clams and chicken scarpariello (on the bone). This is one Long Island institution that we look forward to experiencing for many years to come.
