Vincent’s Clam Bar in Carle Place
Vincent’s Clam Bar in Carle Place is a treat for those who love festive atmospheres, homemade food, large portions and friendly staff. We’ve been coming here for years and with good reason; it’s affordable, fun and yummy.
Stepping into Vincent’s is like taking a stroll through Little Italy. No matter what time of the day or the year, for that matter, you’ll feel as though the Feast of Gennaro is coming right around the corner. Most of the ingredients are homemade here, the bread is freshly baked, pizzas are coming straight out of the oven and the pasta dishes are a delight.
Portions are huge and Vincent’s is constantly running specials, especially for the lunchtime crowd. In terms of value, we haven’t seen such a great price : quality ratio on Long Island. These are just too few and far between and when we find it, we have to celebrate it.
As the name might suggest, clams are everywhere on the menu. Baked clams, raw clams, clams on pizza, clams in pasta dishes and any other type of clam scenario is played up at Vincent’s. Our favorites were the baked clams and the linguini with white clam sauce. One order of these per day would keep us happy from now until the end of time.
We’ll keep coming back to Vincent’s Clam Bar many times in the future and expect them to be around for the long haul. Restaurants like this aren’t created overnight and they’ve been working hard to get the recipe just right; and they’ve succeeded.
