Thai Station in Merrick
Thai Station is aptly named. It’s a Thai restaurant located about 3 blocks north of the Merrick LIRR station on Merrick Avenue. It’s a small spot that for the past few years has been one of the more popular restaurants in the area for local residents.

We were excited for Thai Station when they first opened. They were filling a void in Merrick as one of the only (if not the only) Thai restaurants in the neighborhood. Most of the attention in the past few years has gone to opening up of Japanese and Sushi restaurant, and Thai had been somewhat neglected.

Most of their business comes from takeout, but on weekend nights, their dining room could be a wait of up to 30-45 minutes, so it might be a good idea to call prior to visiting on one of those busy nights.

We have a weakness for Pad Thai, and Thai Station never disappoints. If you want to get a little more creative with your cuisine and travel a little farther to the east, dine on any of their specialties off the menu for a true taste of Thai cuisine.
