Now Open: Hoptron Brewtique in Patchogue
Refined, tasteful, contemporary. These are words that may be used to describe a vineyard or a winery tasting room. But a beer tasting room? Not so much. That all changed last Friday when Hoptron Brewtique threw open its doors on West Main Street in Patchogue. Beer lovers of Long Island – you’ve just been served.
Fill a growler, enjoy a beer flight (4 varietals for $8), buy a bottle or just enjoy as your friends do (everyone needs a designated driver). Any way you enjoy Hoptron Brewtique you’ll do so in style with the modern, light-wood decor. The wood floors match the ceiling and the tables and there is plenty of seating (or standing) everywhere you look. A new concept for Long Island, this tasting room is sure to be more than crowded come weekends. Your best bet may be to ditch work at 2pm – the time they open, and begin the festivities. If you’re interested in doing the brewing yourself at home, the entire front right-side of the tasting room is devoted to materials that you can buy to create your own brew kit. Each essential component of the brewing process is accounted for. Long Island, you’re welcome.
