**Update: This location is closed**
Trattachino recently opened up in Wantagh in late January, and to our pleasant surprise was rocking the night away this past Saturday night. We happened to show up early and it was relatively empty during those first few minutes of dinner service. Leaving the restaurant was a different story; it was packed and everyone seemed to be having an excellent time with the wine and the food flowing. We sat down and immediately started ordering a bevy of items on this small plates / sharing New American menu. To view some of our guilty pleasures, keep on reading past the break.
The menu is small plates New American fare and with 6 people at our table, we needed to order a lot of dishes to have enough variety and quantity for all. We ordered about 4-5 appetizers and 6-7 entrees off the menu. It was enough quantity, but with so many people, we were only each able to take a bite (or two) out of each dish. The presentation was excellent and there was not one dish that someone in our picky party didn’t like. We’d call this one a successful night out.
