In Photos: The Riverhead Project in Riverhead

The Riverhead Project in Riverhead is unique for the area. At the entry point to the north fork, it’s proving to be not only one of the most popular spots, but it is also one of the most revered for its unique space, excellent cuisine and busy lounge area.

Owner Dennis McDermott grew up on Long Island and went to school in this neck of the woods. With a career that has seen him both local and on the other coast, Dennis eventually made his way back to Long Island. His most recent endeavor, The Riverhead Project is a hip and cool spot that can be enjoyed all year long. With winter now in full swing and in their “off season”, the Riverhead Project’s lounge (with its 1960’s vibes) and restaurant are the perfect place to visit. It’s not too crowded, but the food and drinks are just as good as they are during the summer crunch.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with brunch on the weekends. Try them out at any time of the day and enjoy the cool cuisine with the quiet atmosphere (while it lasts).
