Italian cuisine, Frank Sinatra on the sound system and way oversized portions are the hallmark of both of the Ciao Baby locations on the island. While Massapequa, on the south shore, is home to one location, we hit their north shore Commack location to be treated to some of their interesting menu items.

If anything makes an impression at Ciao Baby, it’s the portions. Family-style, and over-the-top, this is not the place to go if you (and your table) are not extremely hungry. Our favorite appetizers, the baked clams and the calamari were of course present, and the short-rib ragu pasta dish sealed the deal for us. Next time we’re looking to feed a party of 12 quite easily, we’ll be heading back to do so.
