Four Holiday Restaurant Ideas

Four Holiday Restaurant Ideas

Along with our holiday themed Restaurant Hunter on FiOS1 Long Island, we’re bringing you a few restaurants across the island that are steeped in the holiday tradition. Whether it’s by way of a santa sighting, a christmas themed decor or just that festive spirit, we’ve compiled a few restaurants that are worth noting this holiday season.

THE OLD CHRISTMAS STANDBY:
The Milleridge Inn in Jericho
One of America’s oldest inn’s with a classic restaurant that will make the large family or the small couple both feel at home. After Thanksgiving, they decorate, have carolers and have special holiday menus. Menus change daily (prices and choices – lunch is $21.95 – $29.95, dinner ranges from $29.95 – $47.95.) Complete meals with appetizer, salad, entree, coffee, etc. The day after Thanksgiving is when they transform the restaurant into the spectacular Christmas display that it will become. Built in 1672 as a house this landmark was converted to a restaurant in the early 1920’s and has been roaring every since.

FOR THOSE WHO DON’T CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS:
Asian Moon in Massapequa
A wonderful Chinese and Japanese restaurant with Thai available as well, they’ll be one of the few restaurants on the island that are open. So if you’re visiting this night, you may have to be prepared to wait for a while, but based on the fact that it’s either this or eating at home, we’d choose here. It’s a high-end restaurant with great drinks and exceptional food, so this may be the place to hunker down for a few hours with the family.
