Food News: Taco Joe’s To Open in Westbury
Taco Joe’s on Merrick Road in Massapequa is a great counter-service, kid-friendly Mexican restaurant with the benefit of a Yogurt & Such built-in for those after dinner dessert options (and a small yogurt is included in the kids meal as well.) We’re happy to report that they’re making the move to the north shore as well with their now under-construction shop on Old Country Rd.

They’re pretty far along and we expect them to open as soon as construction is finished. We passed by on a recent night after work to see how to progress was going and they had a full crew on the interior of the building prepping the space.

Still no movement. It’s now April. Signs are still up “Coming Soon”.

why is one door locked, so it’s hard to get in while people are leaving? why did the young yogurt guy take a cell phone call while he made the small yogurt? why couldn’t I make an order at the mexican counter in a nearly empty place, cause the magement was not there or idiots. I couldn’t even try the food. I wish they would vegitarian burritos etc. anyway this place sucks, why bother?

Unfortunately, construction on this project seems to have come to a complete halt. There’s been no movement since early summer. Anyone know why?
