Hey, we’re in the processing of updating the site over the next few days to bring back East of NYC and all of the great finds on this side of the East River….keep checking back!!
Back in 2005, when East of NYC started, we never could've imagined that we'd evolve to where we are standing today. We're the co-hosts of a regular FiOS Channel 1 segment called Reservations with Rob and now we've launched Eating Everywhere, a new national food related website. We'll be focusing on a lot of the major markets out there and will have everything from restaurant reviews, overviews, events, food related travel, book reviews, product reviews and anything and everything else that you can find under the food related sun. We hope you'll check it out!

Along with our sister-sites (Eating Long Island, Eating Brooklyn and Eating Manhattan) we've been making some great headway in discovering and experiencing some of the best restaurants out there. In the past few weeks we've even had the great opportunity to work with Rob Petrone of FiOS 1 News on Long Island to do a little segment called "Reservations with Rob." We've been shooting and airing these every other Friday and if you're interested in checking out this week's review of Shiro in Carle Place, head on over to this link to check it out.
East of NYC is more than just the blog that you're viewing now. If you look on the right side of this page, you'll see links to "Eat/Drink", "Shop", "Sleep", etc. By clicking on those links you'll be taken to the database portion of our site where we give you information on thousands of local businesses. Need to know the contact information for your favorite restaurant? We've got that covered. Want to go to a winery on the North Fork? We've got all the information you'll ever need. Head on over there now to see what all the buzz is about.
Did you know that you can post any upcoming event for free in our Events calendar? You can hit that page for submission by clicking here. Use our site to let everyone on this side of the river know about your upcoming charity and non-charity events!
We’ve been cranking out the restaurant reviews in both Brooklyn and Long Island in the past few months. Although East of NYC will always be our first true love, EatingLongIsland.com and EatingBrooklyn.com have one focus only; providing you with the best information on some of the area’s most beloved restaurants. To check them out click here (BK) and here (LI).
And remember to always come back to East of NYC for your updates on everything that is happening this side of the East River.
We just spent the last week relaxing in Florida. While we were there enjoying 80 degree temperatures, you were here enjoying 92 degree temperatures. Some things just aren't fair. We're composing ourselves over here at East of NYC central and will be back to posting in no time!
Eating Brooklyn is looking for contributors for the ever-expanding culinary guide into Brooklyn. Check out the post and contact the editor, Sam, if you are interested. We'd love to see more views and critiques, so get those fingers working!
That cute little birdie isn't just sitting on the top left of our sidebar for nothing. We're waiting for you to follow us on twitter so you can be kept up to speed on where we are in between postings. We're new to the service, but we're looking forward to reaching out to you more often and in fun and different ways.
Our newest contributor in the East of NYC and "Eating…" networks is Jacquelyn Moore. She's written a fantastic review of Tazza in Brooklyn Heights for our new site, Eating Brooklyn. You can find that here! Go check it out! Now!
