**Update: This restaurant has closed and has changed owners / name, etc.
Our first exposure to Angelina’s Fireshack came from FiOS1 LI’s Restaurant Hunter (disclosure: we’re on this show as well) when host Rob Petrone took a shot at their Insanley Hot Sauce, which was smothered on wings. He signed a waiver form, essentially releasing Angelina’s from any and all liability should the hot sauce kill him, but thankfully he made it past that challenge (1 bite!) and is still with us, and breathing.

The Fireshack is the perfect place for people who are looking for unique eats as well as a plethora of spicy choices that you may not be able to find anywhere else. On our last visit, we checked out a hamburger that was served on a waffle bun and as well as some of their pizza choices. There’s a pizza counter for those who want to buy a slice, or you can sit down and order off their menu and dine in.

Not everyone is aware of Angelina’s existence, but they should be. It’s certainly a unique dining spot in a sea of mundane eateries on the island. If you make your way in, you’ll be treated to something you’ve never had before. Guaranteed.
