Jordan’s Lobster Farm in Island Park

Jordan’s Lobster Farm in Island Park

With the weather warming up here on Long Island, this is a perfect time to beat the summer rush and hit a few of your favorite outdoor spots. Jordan’s Lobster Farm in Island Park may not be known to you, but we’ve been relying on their fresh lobster, clams and various other seafood offerings for quite some time. It’s affordable, outdoors and waterfront (there’s indoor seating, too.)

At Jordan’s, you order at the outdoor window, pay and then head to your seat. Your food will be brought to you when it is ready. Live lobsters are in the back of the restaurant waiting to be plucked to the next diner’s order. The high-pressure cooker will quickly cook the lobster while retaining its moisture as well. On our last trip we ordered two – 1 1/2 lb. lobsters with sides and a Manhattan Clam Chowder Soup. The final bill came to $46, including soft drinks. This was a cheap way to spend a night outdoors on Long Island, and certainly one of the tastiest that we can remember (just remember not to wear anything that you don’t want lobster or the smell on.)

If you don’t want to sit and stay, you can order to go or order their pre-made and fresh seafood items in the general store area. They have a large assortment of products that you can take home.

We’ll continue to visit Jordan’s Lobster Farm for many years to come and always look forward to the next time that we’re going. Fresh, cheap lobster with waterfront views? We’ll be there.
