In Photos: Pace’s Steakhouse in Port Jefferson
With two locations in Suffolk County (this one in Port Jeff and the other in nearby Hauppauge), Pace’s Steakhouse pulls double duty as a neighborhood gathering spot and a classic American Steakhouse. We touched down at Pace’s recently to take in their wonderful atmosphere and of course, the food.

Even though we were in the restaurant at 5pm on a Thursday, the bar was hopping by the time we left, and half the crowd was mingling with the owner. This seems to be a true neighborhood favorite where everyone is familiar with not only the restaurant, but also each other.

Beyond their usual selections of steaks (which come straight from NYC), we dabbled in their crab cake, which was expertly prepared and perfectly cooked and plated. For those who do not eat meat or would want a little variety, this was a worthy addition to their menu.
