If you told us we could have 24 hours of guilt-free sugar indulgences and we could visit anywhere on the island to splurge, we may just have to take all of those hours and devote them to eating through Buttercooky Bakery’s entire inventory of breads, cakes, pies and cupcakes.

One of two location on the island (the other is located in Floral Park), Buttercooky has been a mainstay on Plandome Road for many years. The full-scale bakery is humming from 6am on the weekdays and 7am on the weekends, enabling a quick sugar-fix for those who are early birds (they are located within walking distance to the Plandome LIRR station).

Beyond stopping in and picking up a cupcake or pastry to eat on the spot, they also provide catering for all types of events; from weddings and showers to parties and special occasions.
