Canterbury Ales in Huntington

Canterbury Ales in Huntington

For the last 35 years, Canterbury Ales has been a beloved watering hole in the heart of the village of Huntington. There’s good reason that so many people swear by it and keep visiting; their local brew, full menu and medieval atmosphere help to make this one of Long Island’s best.

A huge beer list by itself would be reason enough for so many to flock to the restaurant / bar, but Canterbury Ales goes one step further; the atmosphere. Stepping inside the medieval entrance door, you’ll feel as though you were transported to England at the turn of the century with the exposed brick walls, the dark woods and the local pub feel.

With plenty of local beers on tap, you can also buy a growler. For instance, when we were visting the bar, they had Blue Point available as a take home growler. Normally, this would be reserved for the Blue Point tasting room and a drive out to Patchogue, but if you’re in the neighborhood and near Canterbury, you can save the mileage and take home the great beer. That’s a win / win in our book.
